My Trigano Silver 420 CP

I have the 420CP with a fixed double bed at the front.
This page from a Dutch site, shows the models as they were in 2007.

This page shows the 2011 configurations.

They all

  • fit through most standard garage doors (so can be stored in garage if sufficient length available)
  • have solid sides
  • have good storage
  • are lighter to pull than similar fullsize caravans
  • are said to be more stable for towing (apparently 1/3 less wind resistance)
  • don't necessarily require you to buy a more powerful car in order to tow them
(ie. they are lightweight caravans). I tow with a 1.6 eHDi Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.
... but I'm yet to discover good cheap options for awnings, as they have two rails. Need to research further.

Any Trigano Silver forums? ... or documents online?

I've just become the new owner of a Trigano Silver 420 (2007) - a four berth pop-up caravan, made by Trigano of France.

One thing that has really surprised me is the fact that there is so little info on the internet about these pop-up caravans. Does anyone know of a Trigano Silver forum?
There is a group for Trigano trailer tents on Yahoo groups, and they are now allowing Trigano Silver owners to join.

I've found some details of  UK dealers but there do not seem to be many, and none very near to me in Somerset.

My Trigano Silver has now had its axle re-rubbered by AL-KO as the suspension was very low when I bought it. Guess the previous owners overloaded it. From what I can see this can happen to any caravans using the AL-KO chassis and axle.

My Trigano Silver 420 has a full set of manuals except an overall user manual ... though I have the service guide.
I contacted trigano.fr (Silver section) and they sent me a PDF copy. Thanks Trigano.
